Lockdown: Real-Life Escape Game from Singapore

Feeling bored? Daily routine making you feel stuck in a rot? Well, fret not! Malaysia finally has its own real-life escape game! Trust me, once you step your foot into this place, you will want to visit again!

The staffs are super friendly and the location is convenient too as it is near a monorail station. It is located at Level 3, Lot 10, Bukit Bintang. You can go there by monorail, if you feel like it’s a hassle to drive in KL.

Lockdown is a real-life escape room adventure game, where the players are locked in a room and must utilise their surroundings to find any means to escape before the timer ran out. You’ll have one hour to complete the mission, if you fail to do so, there will be consequences!

Lockdown consist of 4 missions for now :

We found out about this place because Azri, one of the staff called us voicing out his willing to collaborate with MASSA for Majlis Anugerah Dekan. He offered to give us coupon with RM15 off to each students who received the Dean List Award. He also offered us a trial to play one of the mission.

We played ‘Kidnapped’, which according to Azri, the person in charge, was the easiest game (it’s not!).

Two of MASSA members - Azizah and Fadhluna - with Mr. Azri.
The three excos from MASSA - Amalina, Azizah and Fadhluna - surely have a great times at Lockdown KL!

We were blindfolded when we went into the room and our mission was to escape before the kidnappers arrived. We were given a telephone, to call Azri to ask for guidance (which we did, a lot). When we open our blindfold, we were locked in dim litted room, and in the middle of the room was only one chair and next to it, was a locked box. We had to find clues to open the box. Bear in mind, it was our first time playing such activity and we were lost for the first few minutes. Not knowing where and how to start, we frantically searched the whole room, even the walls. It was frustrating because none of us have played this kind of game before. But in the end, Azri called and gave us clues. We didn’t manage to finish the game on time, but since it’s a trial, Azri gave us some extra time to complete the mission.

All in all, we had fun, while participating in real-life game. It was indeed an exhilarating and new experience for us. The game is interesting because we have to activate our thinking and conjure every hidden meaning of each clues.

This game highlights the cooperation or the team building among the members. We have to help out one another to unlock the padlocks and try to think beyond our imagination in order to achieve victory.

Even, at times you would feel impossible to escape from the room within one hour but actually it is possible for you to accomplish the mission as the clues are only just around you.

As for the price wage, it is affordable especially for us students!

RM38 per person (off-peak hours: weekdays before 7pm)
RM42 per person (peak hours: weekdays after 7pm, weekends and public holidays)
Student price : RM28 (with a valid Malaysian Student ID Card)
(Weekdays before 7)
Each team shall have 60 minutes to escape!

p/s : Dean listers for this sem's MAD will receive RM15 off coupon!

Furthermore, Lockdown also provide a student program package (orientation day, team building, etc). Lecturers, teacher and student leaders will be given a free trial!
